| This Grundig Majestic with a 108 FM tuner from the late 50s has three speakers, a large woofer and two 3" elactrostatic tweeters. It's in very good condition with only a couple of scratches on top. The original finish still shines great. It has AM 510-1600, SW 19-49m and a full FM 88-108 and works good on all bands with its internal antennas. Most all paper caps have been replaced as well as filter caps. Tubes have been checked and replaced as needed including a bright new tuning indicator tube. The chrome chassis is clean with no rust. Back has clear writing and is all in English. Tone controls are variable Bass and Treble plus fixed pushbuttons for Voice, Orchestra and Jazz. The bass boost on this radio is heavy, so Bass should be turned down for most applications. A very pretty Grundig just the right size at 18-1/2"W x 13"H x 8-1/2"D. |
