THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This much sought after export model is the first in a series of Gavottes produced by Telefunken. This radio has been electronically restored. All paper caps have been replaced, also a new rectifier and filter caps. New tubes were replaced as needed including a bright new EM80 magic eye. It plays great on all four bands, AM 510-1600, Special (LW) 150-370, SW 16-49m and FM 88-108. The excellent sound this model is known for is partly due to its speakers, a large woofer with AlnicoV magnet and a electrostatic tweeter. The SW band has "band spread" were the FM dial becomes a fine tuner to bring in SW stations. Tone controls are Bass and Treble. The cabinet is nice with some scratches on top and grazing of the finish, but still looks impressive. Speaker cloth has been replaced. The back, scale, knobs and pushbuttons are all original and look good. Perfect size for office or den. 19"W x 13"H x 8"D.
