| This is a US export model from the mid 50s. All writing is in English and has the full 88-108 FM tuner. In addition it has AM 510-1600 and SW 19-49m. It plays great on all bands with excellent sound from two speakers. There are separate tuners for FM and AM/SW each with its own dial pointer. Tone controls are Bass, Treble with variable wheels and Voice, Orchestra and Jazz via fixed pushbuttons. The cabinet is in very good condition with a couple of scratches on top but still shines great in its original dark mahogany finish. The original grille cloth is immaculate. The back has clear writing. All the knobs, pushbuttons, logos and trim are perfect. Tubes have been replaced as needed including a bright new EM84 indicator tube. Only defect might be that the power cord at the radio end is getting a little shaky but still works fine. A wonderful Grundig in just the right size for office or den at 18"W x 12-1/2"H x 8-1/5"D. |
