| Famous regenerative circuit from the early 20's. A lot of regen sets were sold in kit form to get around Armstrong patents. This kit appears to be a top of the line attempt that for some reason was never finished. The Browning Drake coils were purchased and the set was fully assembled except for the audio stages. Uses nothing but the best components. The condensers are National "Z" with Velvet Vernier dials. Sockets are General Radio as are the AF transformers. Amazingly sensitive and selective. It goes above the AM band into 160 meters! Shown with dud tubes. There is no case, but this would make a great project. The masking tape ID you see all over the bottom is my handy work. This certainly would expedite the finish up! No tubes included; could supply correct tubes. |
