THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This seven-tube radio is extremely collectable. It was made famous by being featured on the TV show "The Waltons." The cabinet is original and has not been refinished. The veneer is in very good condition. All the knobs are original. One of the decorative top moldings is missing. The grille cloth is original but has a tear on the left. The tuning capacitor does not go through its full rotation because it needs to be cleaned. I was able to tune into one station. The magic tuning eye tube lights up. All seven tubes appear to be original. The radio receives three bands: AM, shortwave, and police. Turning the band selection knob does not always result in perfect movement of the sliding band indicators. They occasionally get stuck and are in need of a good cleaning. |
