THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Called the "Bullhorn Radio" by collectors, these sets were designed with phono inputs for using with RCA's new 45rpm record changers. RCA came out with the 45rpm system in 1949 and it was the latest and greatest in recorded music. This set has a seven-point switch, one for off, three for the radio at different tones, and three for phono input at three different tones. This little set has a big 8" speaker along with a large output transformer, and has a tremendous amount of volume for an AA5 radio. This one has a beautiful cabinet that you can see your face in, as it is shiny. The bullhorn is flawless, which is rare for these sets. This set performs well, and sounds great, as well as receives many stations. This is a fine example and is popular among the 45rpm player collectors. This set is BC only. 12-1/2"W x 10"H x 8-1/2"D. |
