L-Tatro 465 Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Originally a six volt farm set, this unusual radio made in the small town of Deborah, Iowa, was converted to AC using a LM317K voltage regulator for the 6.3VDC filament supply. One band tuning covers 550-2000 khz and also the 160 meter band. This set is very sensitive and receives better than any AC set and now you can plug her in. All capacitors and out of tolerance resistors were replaced; everything used to convert this set to AC has been hidden, retaining the original look of this set. The cabinet has been refinished using original stains and toner, and then four coats of clear lacquer. It uses an early style cone speaker; it plays very well, and receives with above average sensitivity. It would make a great addition to any home or collection. 19"H x 15"W x 10"D.
