Zenith 6-S-229 Tombstone (1937)
(x tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 6-S-229 Tombstone (1937)

Here is another one of those dearly loved "Black Dials" radios! This Zenith still has its original photofinish veneer. The old photofinish is in pretty good condition, and all blemishes and scrapes were touched up; the whole cabinet was given three coats of clear lacquer just like it originally was and the cabinet turned out great. The chassis has had its filter caps replaced and all necessary paper caps and resistors replaced, This old girl plays loud and clear on all three bands and what a beautiful dial lit up! This radio still has its original grille cloth and wooden "Z" knobs.
