General Electric A-63 (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

General Electric A-63 (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Simple Deco styling with black painted trim make this mid-thirties tombstone an eye-catcher. The finish is all original and is quite good, given the fact that the radio is over 70 years old! Diamond pattern grille cloth is original as well. The six tube chassis has been serviced with new filter caps and aligned. It performs very well on its SW and BC bands with a short wire antenna. It is sensitive to noise with a longer wire, and would need a ground if that long wire is used for catching distant stations.
