Sharp TR-182 (1958)
(plastic transistor shirtpocket radio)

Sharp TR-182 (1958)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is an early six-transistor Sharp model TR-182 which started hitting the market in 1958. The same model was also sold under the Continental name brand. It operates on a common 9 volt battery. The example here is a beauty. The back is somewhat loose perhaps due to a hairline at one corner as shown in the last photo. When tested, the radio played a few stations at good volume. Only 4-1/2"W.
