Silvertone 4212 Sub-Miniature Tube Radio (1954)
(plastic transistor shirtpocket radio)

Silvertone 4212 Sub-Miniature Tube Radio (1954)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Offered here is a Silvertone model 4212 hybrid AM radio from Sears Roebuck & Co. This rare vintage sub-miniature tube radio holds the distinction of being the only one that has two miniature tubes and two sub-miniature tubes. It was designed to run on a 45 volt battery and a 1.5 volt battery and has four tubes: 1V6, 1T4, 1U5, and 1AG4. Click here for more information on this rare radio. This example is in near new condition with only some patina on the brights of the knobs keeping it from being mint. I truly believe that this radio was never used, because the battery straps do not have any shape to them, they lay perfectly flat. This radio is untested due to the power requirements. Included is the leather carrying case.
