THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Discovered here is a rare Columbia six-transistor shirt pocket radio from the late 50s/early 60s. This handsome radio features a two-tone cabinet and a beautiful reverse painted face and bright gold grille. My internet search turned up nothing on this radio, but a notation made inside the radio referenced the Grundig 610. A unique feature of this radio is that the complete schematic is attached inside the back cover. This example is a gem in excellent original condition. The plastic cabinet is chip and crack free and does not even show any scratches thanks to the original leather/felt cover (included). The radio operates on a common 9 volt battery. When tested, this radio played picking up a few stations with some static while tuning, but produced strong clear reception once the station was locked in. The back panel has West Germany imprinted in the bottom right corner. 4-1/2"W. |
