Here is a real nice Zenith Royal 500 Model D in beautiful maroon and gold. The Model D is the first of the high performance "Long Distance" Royal 500s and has an expanded range speaker. The Model D has an added eighth transistor and an additional un-tuned RF stage that increases signal sensitivity four times. It runs on four "AA" batteries. The radio cost $75.00 new when it was introduced in 1958. This radio is in beautiful condition and has been professionally restored so it plays like you won't believe. Made in Chicago with real Zenith quality. 6"H x 3-/2"W x 1-3/4"D; it weighs 16.5 ounces.
