The Zenith Royal 50L was the third style of the first shirt pocket sized radio from Zenith. It was an improvement from earlier models as the tuning knob is recessed, thus protecting it when inserted into a pocket. This was a solid design, and they have held up well over the years. At only 4-1/2" tall, it easily fits into your shirt pocket. These came in four color combinations, and this unit sports the black back and is accented by a nice gold grille. It plays fine on two "AA" batteries sounding like you would expect a Zenith to sound. It is clean inside and out, and has avoided any metal damage or battery acid stains.
