| Six tubes, BCB and SW 6-18Mhz). The extra tube is used in a tuned RF stage utilizing the built in loop antenna. BCB reception is excellent. This receiver is sensitive enough to allow shortwave reception with the built in loop--with my outside antenna performance is excellent, rivaling mid priced communications sets. This transformer powered set has a powerful audio section with great sound and a full range tone control. Pushbutton electronic tuning (one was missing and replaced with wood). Large original knobs allow fine control. Electronically restored with new components and tubes as needed. Tuned cleaned and lubed. Original finish retouched and cleaned with an "antique restorer" compound. Top shelf set. |
