Here's a good basic multi-band portable from Radio Shack that's no longer being produced. Feature packed, it covers FM, AM, international shortwave bands, VHF, weather, UHF etc. Also has direction finder on top and large front-firing speaker for boom box quality sound. An interesting feature is that it can be used as a portable PA system by plugging in a microphone. Radio shows moderate wear, some scratches scuffs etc. but nothing broken and everything works fine. Missing original nylon shoulder strap.
