Cool black-dial pre-war Zenith. Deco cabinet is not the common walnut but solid jet-black Bakelite, beautifully contrasted by original blonde plastic Z-knobs, Z-Airplane dial, handle insert. No cracks or chips but a past owner has applied either some Glayzit or clear lacquer to the exterior (the lazy way to a quick shine). When tested at night the U.S.built, Zenith "Long-Distance" chassis didn't disappoint; I listened with great clarity to WBBM 780-Chicago, 1100 miles away, with only the internal antenna. 12"W x 6-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
