THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The first of the postwar transoceanic sets for 1947. This model has push-pull audio using Loctal tubes. Many consider the 8G005 to be the most complex electronics of any tube transoceanic. A picture has been included to show the work done. This super clean all original example is one of the best I've seen. Everything is there including a headset that was with it when I purchased it. The battery wiring is brittle and you may want to change if you want to use batteries. The user guide is a repro from Zenith Canada. The telescoping antenna works well and the set gets great AM reception and also receives short wave. |
