THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This rare unusual 1938 DeWald radio uses twelve tubes, four of which are ballast tubes. It is listed in Riders 8-6. the cabinet took a lot of abuse from the heat of all those tubes and has been restored. The repro grille cloth matches the original. The dial was reproduced from the damaged original. It retains the original knobs and dial cover. The set has been serviced. It plays well on AM and I was able to get some Short Wave. A great example of the tube count inflating that went on during the 30's. 17"W x 10"H x 6-1/2"D. |
