This very attractive cathedral probably dates from about 1932. Not a lot of sets were done with the entire front face panel in burl veneer. I've seen everything from cathedrals to transistors with the Universal name plate, but nothing like this. The cabinet has been refinished along with new period correct grille cloth. The dial is worn at 50 to 60, but otherwise the dial graphics are excellent. The unique TRF chassis retains much of the original black paint. The tube line-up includes 1-45, 1-80 and 3-24A's. The chassis has been serviced including a new cloth covered cord. 15-3/4"H x 11"W x 8-1/2"D. |
