THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Offered is a Zenith 5-S-127 with a 6-S-229 chassis. There have been no modifications to the chassis or cabinet. Originally I was going to part it out thinking it must be wrong. I own a rare 1938 model 15-U-270 console variant with a 1939 chassis. Zenith may have used this practice in other years also to deplete excess cabinet inventory. Given the exceptional condition of this 1938 chassis, that might very well be the case here. The cabinet has been properly refinished to original appearance. The grille cloth is the correct replacement and the knobs are original. The chassis has been serviced including new dial lamp shields and replacement tuning belt. The radio plays well. 19"H x 13"W x 9"D.
