THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
After the discovery of kings tut's tomb in 1922 you could find Egyptian influence in style in home decor. This Metrodyne is a rather extreme example with a highly detailed Bakelite face panel. The panel shows minor wear, but in overall excellent condition with no damage. The cabinet is in beautiful condition inside and out. The Bakelite part of the chassis has a stress crack from the weight of the transformer. It does not go all the way through. I have supported the area with a brass rod using an existing mounting hole as shown. Otherwise the chassis is complete and in excellent condition. The tuning assembly and all controls are fully functional. I checked both transformers and they are good. It is otherwise untested and offered without tubes. 26"W x 9"H x 9"D. |
