| McMurdo Silver produced communication receivers in limited quantities during the 1930's. This 1935 model C5 is a rare find. Schematics on this model are limited and incomplete. I was fortunate to find Lou Bellock via a YouTube video on the C5. He was kind enough to send me all the available info ever published regarding the set. The radio is in excellent overall condition and includes a Jensen PM speaker. the set was originally offered with a Jensen dynamic speaker in a smaller 7" cabinet and listed for $124.50. The radio is in functional condition receiving some AM and SW with strong clear sound. It needs further diagnosis to get it working at full capacity. With too many projects I'm offering the set to enjoy and display as is or to complete restoration with paperwork and notes to be included. |
