THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Designed by Norman Bel Geddes in 1947 as model 544 it was offered again in 48 as 544S. The 544S uses the updated peanut tubes and as you can see a great looking dial. These cabinets have a faux wood finish. The cabinets and finish were very fragile so not many survived in nice original condition like this one. This is the only one I've personally seen with the cardboard back. The chassis has been serviced and plays well. A beautiful little radio with great style. 10-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H 5-1/2"D. |
