THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
They don't come much nicer than this rare Red Lion desk with a model 37 AK radio. The finish is original, but the grille cloth has been replaced with a period correct reproduction. The main chassis has a matching set of period correct Cunningham globe tubes. To make this find even better I also have the original bill of sale from 1928. The radio did not have a speaker when I purchased it. I'm not sure what was used because there was no evidence of a speaker being mounted inside. It may have just used a model E3 free standing speaker. I mounted a 1926 Radiola 100 speaker inside that was removed from its metal cabinet. It was in perfect condition and sounds great. I am able to pick up several stations loud and clear. 38"H x 29-1/2"W x 16"D. |
