THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This AC/DC portable was offered by affiliated Retailers Inc. in the New York Empire State Building. It is a six-tube set dating from around 1941. Radios made under the Artone name are rare. This is an attractive portable with imitation snake covering and marbleized plastic face panel. The plastic has some distortion, but otherwise it is in remarkable original condition. The resistance line cord has been cut, but otherwise appears complete. It does have the schematic for battery hook up on the lid. The radio has not been restored or tested. 13-1/2"W x 9-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D. |
