Zenith 9-S-264 Console (1938)
(wood tube console radio)

Zenith 9-S-264 Console (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I purchased this console from the original owners in 1996. They bought it in Pittsburgh and then moved it to Sun City, Arizona, where they retired. It retains the factory finish, which as you can see is still stunning. It is actually slightly darker than the pictures show. The grille cloth was replaced with the correct reproduction, but otherwise it is all original including knobs. You will also note that it has a custom cut glass top. This was done in Pittsburgh shortly after the radio was purchased. The cabinet was designed to have things set on top of it and the glass protected the beautiful book matched veneer. This console featured the shutter dial with motorized tuning. The chassis has been serviced and aligned. It has a new power cord, NOS 6U5 tuning eye and all new drive belts. A super nice set inside and out ready to display and enjoy. 33-1/2"H x 31"W x 15"D.
