This was actually one of the most expensive cone speakers Tower made. The wood frame retains the original finish. the cone is an excellent reproduction. I believe the textured board in back may also be a repro. The cast metal base shows no evidence of ever being painted. It retains the original driver with a replacement cord. When tested with my Federal 110, I was able to get good sound, but not strong volume. It did better with an early AC set. It looks like the volume adjustment is missing which would explain the problem. this rarely seen speaker makes a great display piece and measures 19" x 18". |
