THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is without question one of the most impressive cone speakers ever made. At 24" in diameter, it is a marvel to behold. the cone is a reproduction made by Buford Chidester in 1997. These made and decorated cones are in themselves a work of art. The cone is true to the original in every detail. The balance of the speaker is all original including the paint, grille cloth, cord and driver. The grille cloth is flawless and the cord is near perfect. The paint shows only minor wear and has a nice patina. The driver is like new and the speaker works well. I don't think you will note much difference in sound over the more common 540 model, but in appearance there is no comparison. Don't miss this opportunity to own one of the best in Western Electric. |
