THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
BC+4SW. This is the top of the line Philco console and probably the best short wave receiver of its time. This set features the early eleven-tube five-band chassis with dual-speed tuning, shadowgraph, tone selector and switchable muting. The chassis in the console is beefed up a bit from the one in the baby grand with a much larger power supply and speaker for 15W audio output. Fully restored, the chassis operates like new.
The cabinet is the early 16X version of which only 2000 were made, selling at $150 and is quite hard to find, it features beautiful burled walnut veneer and brand new grille cloth. This was a very untouched original complete with the original backing that was found at a local flea market about 15 years ago and a joy to work on not having to remove previous attempts at repair. Fully restored and warranted 42-1/2"H x 27"W x 13-1/2"D. |
