THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
BC. This Kolster is the first of the AC sets put on the market in 1927; it's basically a 6D model converted to an AC tube lineup and separate power supply. Very few were made before the AC designs arrived later in the year with the K20. This set works quite well for such an early design, and is probably one of if not the only working one out there as the pot metal in these always disintegrated and few would take the time to repair and reconstruct the dilapidated parts. The power supply has been re-wired and had its capacitor block re-stuffed and fully restored. The original labels are all included as well as the original instruction booklet, paperwork, and the station log that the original owner used in an envelope postmarked 1928. This set is a real piece of history and also comes with a fully restored Conoidal Speaker. Fully restored and warranted. 28"W x 12"H x 14"D. |
