THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a really nice playing Zenith 1000D. It is the first 1000D made because it has the plastic battery box mounted on the back and has the lettering Genuine Leather on the inside front lid. Exceptional pickup on AM and Shortwave. The "D" stands for an added LW band which today you only hear Morse code of a NDB (Non-Directional Beacon) from a airport. I have replaced all the electrolytic and wax caps (seen in the last picture). It has been aligned for peak performance. The case inside and out is exceptional but it does have a blemish on the outside of the case. It also comes with an external wavemagnet antenna which you can see attached to the upper back. The antenna is straight and true. The battery box is clean. It comes with a log book as well. A great price for a great radio. You can also read some of my feedback on restorations at eBay under Hammer39. |
