THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is just a beautiful looking cathedral radio made by Stewart-Warner in 1932. It was purchased in Wilmington, North Carolina some 15 years ago. Been with me ever since. The ornate cabinet is in superb original condition. It is a large six-tube cathedral with an 8-inch speaker that looks like new (see pic). The chassis is as clean as you get with an 80 year old radio and all six tubes were good. I replaced all the electrolytic and wax capacitors, as well as most of the resistors which were out of tolerance. It plays loud and clear. The power cord, antenna wire and ground wire are all new. It was cleaned, oiled and aligned for peak performance. The speaker grille cloth and knobs are original and in excellent condition. Six month warranty. 19"H x 14"W x 12"D. |
