Crosley 158 "Septet" Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Crosley 158 "Septet" Cathedral (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a seven-tube Crosley cathedral AM radio model 158 made in 1933. It is hard to find cathedrals these days but this was found at a radio meet. It was partially worked on sometime years ago but the speaker was shot completely. So I put a brand new out of the box 6-inch speaker and transformer. It plays local AM frequencies loud and clear. All seven tubes were good. All the capacitors were replaced with new ones and most of the resistors were replaced as well. It was cleaned and oiled. It was aligned for peak performance. The cabinet is in original excellent condition. The speaker grille cloth and knobs are original and in excellent condition as well. Six-month warranty as long as it is not abused. These 80 year old radios will last years if played no more than a couple of hours a day for a few days a week at least once a month. This is a great price for an old Cathedral radio.
