This Zenith Trans-Oceanic 3000-1 a great every day player for a great price. It plays as good as it gets with these radios. Superb AM and shortwave and great FM. On the appearance side it is about an 8.5 out of 10. It comes with a good battery box and log book. It can be hooked up to a AC adapter that you can purchase on eBay or you can play it with nine "D"-Cell batteries. The 9th battery is for the lights. All the electrolyte capacitors and wax capacitors were replaced. So you should have another 40 years with this radio. I also tuned each band to perfection. If you were to buy this type of radio unrestored, you most likely would purchase my restoration service. With shipping that could cost you $200 or more round trip to me. One year warranty on the radio.
