This is an exceptional case for a Zenith T/O 1000. I have replaced all the electrolytic and wax caps. It has been aligned to perfection. These radios are just superior on Shortwave pickup. It is powered by a rechargeable 12 volt battery that should last you six months to a year. Then you recharge it back to 12 volts with the charger I provided you and you have another six to twelve months. A great price for a great radio.
