THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
I bought this off an old radio collector's estate sale. It was one of the radios he kept due to its great condition. It was not just serviced but restored with orange drop capacitors (see photo) by this old gentleman. This was a nice entry level shortwave set in 1946/47 and is very rare to find it in this condition. The receiver is a four band superheterodyne tuning .54 to 32 megacycles. It is the second one in the S-38 series. This radio plays best with a 50 to 75 ft outdoor antenna (wire). It has all the original knobs, speaker and bottom. The chassis is like new. I checked it out and all the tubes all tested good. |
