Zenith Y-600 Trans-Oceanic (1957)
(suitcase tube portable radio)

Zenith Y-600 Trans-Oceanic (1957)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I normally don't do the Black Stag Trans-Oceanics as they take about a week to do right and there is not much profit. However this one was in pretty good shape and I bought it. All the parts are there. Everything is as it should be except for the little red plastic on the wave magnet antenna which is torn. I have restored it electronically and aligned it to perfection. One of the pet peeves on the radio is the lights don't work. So I took the liberty to add a "D"-cell holder so that the lights would work. You just supply the battery. It is held in the case with Velcro and the original plug in is still there. Also the electric cord is in good condition but almost 60 yrs old like me. So I'm including a new electric cord so the reel and cord do not have to be pulled to play it. It is an awesome AM and Short-wave player and it comes at a very reasonable price.
