THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This radio has been a six-month labor of love. To start with, the 1940 and 1941 radios before the war changed their wiring to rubber coated. Naturally all the coatings on wires for these radios are falling off. So you have to rewire the set, which is quite a job. On top of that, the speaker sounded funny so I sent it off to be re-coned. As luck would have it they did not change the voice coil so it sounded just as funny and after playing it three minutes it failed. I sent the speaker back and had him put a new voice coil in it. So now after six months, I have a nice Zenith Radio that has all new wiring, new capacitors, good tubes and a new speaker. |
