Hallicrafters S-38B Receiver
(metal communications gear)

Hallicrafters S-38B Receiver

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a nice entry level shortwave set built between 1947 to 1953. The receiver is a four band superheterodyne tuning .54 to 32 megacycles. It is the third one in the S-38 series. It has been electronically restored and by that I mean all the electrolyte and wax capacitors have been replaced by state of the art capacitors. Also several resistors that were out of tolerance were replaced as well. It has been aligned according to specs and plays extremely well on all bands. I also replaced the power cord. It has all the original knobs, speaker, back and bottom, and is in real nice shape.
