THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is quite different from any of the other Sears 1591 models that I have come across over the years as it's all nicely decorated with colorful designs of fruits and flowers and quite nicely done. The radio receives broadcasts on AM with a Shortwave band and also shows the old Police band too. This is a nine-tube set and is what's called a Superheterodyne. Sears named it a "Radionet" because it has a special built-in antenna system to help bring in those distant stations. It is working perfectly; all the old capacitors have now been replaced with the newer types and it also has new filter capacitors, and a nice long vintage cloth covered style power cord and a vintage plug to match. All of the tubes have checked out good, it has a nice bright tuning eye too. 18"W x 16"H x 10"D. |
