Electronically restored, this is as advertised by Zenith "The Royalty Of Radios." The Zenith G500 Trans-Oceanic Multi-band radio was produced for only 18 months, making the model scarce and hard to find. This G500 model looks very much like Zenith's earlier model 8G005 from the 1940's, the same dial and brass bezel but check the detachable Wave Magnet which features a bright and handsome gold badge in the center. Another difference you will see are the tubes which in the 8G005 were loktal type, but in this G500 are the lighter, smaller miniature type. The case is in very nice condition too. 16-3/4"W x 11"H x 7-3/4"D.
