This is a nice performing radio; it has been fully restored and refinished. You will notice in one photo of a damaged area that was repaired as best it could be, but as can be seen in the other photos it will display very nicely. The Emerson model 38 was advertised in 1935 as a dual wave AC-DC Superheterodyne set with a "Duo-Lite Band Switching circuit." And touted as "One of the leaders in the line of The Worlds Biggest Selling Little Radios." It is a six tube set, receiving Standard AM broadcast as well as American, Foreign Short-Wave and Police calls. Aeroplane dial, dynamic speaker, automatic volume control and many other advanced features. A beautiful Walnut cabinet. 12"W. |
