Stewart-Warner R-1251 "The Strand" (1933)

Stewart-Warner R-1251 "The Strand" (1933)
This is a most desired model of S-W tombstone radios. The wildly Deco cabinet is a dramatic contrast of veneers with a whimsical grille design. This is a very impressive radio! Contained within is a five-tube super-het chassis that offers both AM and Shortwave. The condition is beautiful with the refinish cabinet work done by a previous owner. There is one small scratch on the left side and minor blemish on the top which are insignificant. The speaker cloth and knobs appear to be original to the radio. Les has completed the professional repairs and the radio plays like new. He has added the mini-jack for your connection of any modern device or the add on Bluetooth receiver for $25 additional. You can now choose to listen to anything including the websites mentioned in my home page. 17"H x 13-1/4"W x 9"D.  $899.00. (0961421)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
