General Electric K-53 Cathedral (1932)

General Electric K-53 Cathedral (1932)
Here is a real classic and seldom seen in this nice condition. Although early and limited in tube count, this five-tube cathedral really performs! The radio is the earliest super-het and offers both AM and Shortwave with tremendous selectivity. The cabinet, speaker cloth and knobs are all factory original installed and nearly blemish free for the 85+ years of use. Les has completed his professional repairs and remarked on the fine condition. He mentioned he has one of these jewels in his personal collection and admired this example. Les added a fine gold cloth power cord and new Bakelite plug for your safe operation. The radio is perfect sized for a smaller room, such as a bedroom, offering a big radio performance. There is a mini-jack installed allowing you to connect to any modern device, or for an additional $25, a Bluetooth receiver. 14-1/4"H x 11-3/4"W x 9"D.  $499.00. (0961414)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
