Atwater Kent 82 Cathedral (1932)

Atwater Kent 82 Cathedral (1932)
This is the most desired of Atwater Kent cathedral radios. This particular radio is the nicest example that I have seen in a very long time. The company had a fine reputation for making the finest radios of this era. The fine electronics were the most advanced of the early super-het era, and the factory made some of the finest cabinets as well. Note the fine zebra wood veneers on the radio's arch and hand lathed barley twist columns. This particular radio has been beautifully refinished, with very tight factory speaker cloth and factory installed knobs. The radio is a classic seven-tube super-het with automatic volume control. Les has done an outstanding job making the repairs to the radio, and it plays great. Along with his professional repairs, he has added a mini-jack to accommodate an external input device. This will allow you an unlimited amount of content and use with your phone, pad or internet connection. Note the fine silk/cotton reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug, both reproduction and making the radio a safe set to play. Bluetooth is available! 19"H x 15-1/2"W x 10"D.  $979.00. (0961296)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
