Those of you who follow my listing know of my appreciation for Canadian made radios. The quality of these sets surpasses most of the U.S. made radios of the same period. This is a fine example of a Canadian General Electric, almost a perfect clone of a U.S. made RCA T-8. This is a terrific three-band, eight-tube super-het. The selectivity and sound quality will delight the most demanding collector. Note the beautifully lit dial, and the new and super sensitive green tuning eye. The cabinet is a beautiful book matched dark walnut veneer, in very nice condition. The only finish loss is along the base, and very modest in scale. The speaker cloth and knobs are factory original. My tech enjoyed making repairs to this fine radio and added a fine silk reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug, for your safe use. A tall 21-1/2"H x 15-3/4"W x 9-1/2"D. |
