Philco 50-922 "Sundial" (1950)
(plastic tube table radio)

Philco 50-922 "Sundial" (1950)

NEW!If you collect radios that make statement with a bold dial, consider this Philco dubbed the sundial. The entire top of the cabinet lights up! This six-tube set really pulls in the stations, too, with its powerful built in loop antenna! Or use the 3.5mm cord to play your own audio. It's been gone through with all new filter and paper capacitors, strong tested set of tubes, controls cleaned and lubricated. Original back cover is intact. The cabinet was repaired and painted a beautiful sky blue enamel. There is a small cigarette ash burn mark in the top of the dial, out of the number area (see pics). Bold anodized gold trim under the dial and on the ends of the knobs add a touch of class. A real conversation piece! 13"W x 8"H x 8"D.  $159.00. (1790331)

I offer a quantity discount on my radios, so check out my other listings and drop me a line if you're interested in more than one at a time. A Bluetooth/MP3 player 3.5mm cord has been installed at no additional charge when the circuit design allows for another listening option beyond the standard AM broadcasts. You can plug in to the headphone port of your device and enjoy the music of your choice through the radio or unplug for standard AM broadcasts.
