Troy 53 (1937)

Troy 53 (1937)
Sold by Lew Magrish on April 4, 2016
Listed price on date of sale - $399.00
This is a sweet "blonde" model. The previous owner has refinished the radio in the natural maple finish that the radio was from the factory. A edgy design for the era, rather "industrial" in form and in a light finish, which was unusual for the era. The radio sports a neat and detailed multi-colored dial, dramatically lit is shown in photo two. The speaker cloth is a period reproduction with the factory installed knobs. This is a five tube super-het chassis "All American Five" playing on both Broadcast and Shortwave. Les has done his complete repairs and has returned the radio to a perfect playing set. He added a mini-jack for your external input device allowing you an unlimited choice of content from any source you choose. This compact radio sounds terrific! 15-1/2"W x 9-1/2"W x 8-1/2"D.
