Zenith 7-S-28A tombstone (1936)
Zenith 7-S-28A tombstone (1936)
Sold by Lew Magrish on November 27, 2015
Listed price on date of sale - $1,299.00
You are looking at the first example of this rare Zenith tombstone ever offered on the Attic. The radio is the scarcer export version with a multi-tapped transformer for international voltages. The radio plays on both AM and Shortwave with a tremendous sound quality and all of the selectivity Zenith was famous for. The super smooth fly wheel tuning is enhanced by both a macro and micro tuning knob. The radio was nicely refinished by the previous owner and retains the original speaker cloth and iconic "Z" wood Zenith knobs. Please note the dramatic back lit multi-colored dial in the photo. Les has done his usual thorough and professional level of repairs, and this is a fantastic playing set. Les also added a mini-jack which allows you to connect any modern device to the radio. A rare radio is excellent condition! 22-1/2"H x 16-1/2"W x 14"D.
